Founded in 1973, Argos is a unique catalogue retailer recognised for choice, value and convenience.
It sells general merchandise and products for the home from over 35 stores in the Republic of Ireland and over 690 stores in the UK with total sales of £4.3 billion in the last financial year.
Argos opened its first stores in the Republic in January 1996 in Limerick, Nutgrove and Dublin. In 2005, Argos launched its Irish website, www.argos.ie, which now has over 20,000 products online.
Argos is already one of the largest retail employers in the country with around 1,400 employees.

Great work during Christmas
A typical day in my job was basically assisting customers with there purchases e.g collecting stock from store and delivering to checkouts as well as engaging in customer services and providing a hassle free shopping experience for customers.
Customers were always top priority.
Colleagues were both helpful and friendly
I am always punctual so i arrive at work 15-20 minutes before my shift .
I have learnt a vast array of skills such a communication,organisation,teamwork,independent,customer service and stockroom.
I am known in work as both a hard worker and a team player .
The most enjoyable part of my job is learning new skills and hitting our sales target both monthly and annually.
Really enjoyable work and wonderful people.
I loved the whole atmosphere of the place.
Would love to have stayed, but it was only for christmas.

Our ideal candidate is located close to our store and available on short notice. We provde all staff with a training day to bring them up to speed with how we do things. All staff enjoy a 10% discount.
